How Lease-to-Own Furniture Works in Indianapolis (No Credit Needed)

Need a new couch or mattress but don't have perfect credit, or don't want to pay for it all at once? Lease-to-own is one of the most common ways our Indianapolis customers take furniture home today. Here's a plain-English guide to how it works, who it's for and what to watch out for.

What is lease-to-own furniture?

With lease-to-own, a leasing company (at our store, that's Koalafi, Snap Finance, Progressive Leasing or Acima) buys the furniture from us and leases it to you. You make scheduled payments, and once you've paid off the lease, the furniture is yours. Because it's a lease and not a loan, approval doesn't depend on a traditional credit score, which is why these options are often called "no credit needed."

How it works at Mattress & Couch Co.

1. Pick your furniture online or at our store at 5227 E Thompson Rd.
2. Apply online from our financing page. The application only takes a few minutes and you'll get a decision quickly.
3. Call or text us at (765) 913-9630 once you're approved. We'll finalize your order and schedule delivery or pickup.

Lease-to-own vs. 0% financing

• Lease-to-own (Koalafi, Snap Finance, Progressive Leasing, Acima): no credit needed, fast approval. Paying it off early usually costs the least, so check your agreement's early payoff options.
• 0% financing (Synchrony): requires credit approval, but if you pay off the balance within the promotional period (6–24 months on approved credit), you pay no interest.

If you have good credit, 0% financing is usually the lower-cost choice. If you've been turned down elsewhere or are rebuilding credit, lease-to-own gets you the furniture now.

Tips before you sign

• Read the total cost of ownership in your agreement, not just the payment amount.
• Ask about early payoff options. Paying early can save a lot.
• Set up automatic payments so you never miss one.
• Measure your space first. All of our sales are final because items are ordered from the manufacturer for you.
